Al-Khorayef: We welcome the partnership with the private sector, and cooperation with the Asharqia Chamber to serve economic development
His Excellency the Governor of Qatif Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Khorayef affirmed the keenness to partner with the private sector to advance the governorate at all levels, especially the economic and developmental aspect, noting the relative advantages that characterize the governorate, which calls for more focus in preparation for launch, including human capabilities and its distinguished geographical location.
Al-Khorayef expressed the governorate’s keenness to develop solutions for the advancement of the governorate and to invest the comparative advantages of Qatif to be an essential element in the process of advancement, stressing during his meeting with the Business Council of the Asharqia Chamber branch in Qatif, which was held on Wednesday 15/December/2021, the importance of facilitating procedures to attract investments in the province, and create the environment He welcomed the increase in the level of cooperation between the concerned government agencies and the Asharqia Chamber because of its impact on the public interest.
For his part, Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi said that the Chamber paid great attention to its branches in each of the governorates (Qatif, Jubail, and Al-Khafji), to be present and in constant contact with its subscribers to discuss their issues and needs, and this comes, in its belief in the importance of communication and interaction with The branches on the one hand, and the importance of these governorates due to their economic resources and important strategic locations on the other hand.
Al-Khalidi stated that the diversity and readiness of its sectors in Qatif Governorate, as well as its human competencies in various fields, make it a promising economic zone in the national economy. stressing that the Asharqia Chamber is fully prepared to adopt proposals and initiatives that will achieve the aspirations of the private sector and its contributions to economic life, leading to a better economic situation and a stimulating economic environment that meets our future hopes.
For his part, Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber Business Council in Qatif Abdul-Mohsen bin Abdul-Majeed Al-Faraj said that the Qatif Governorate, with its natural resources, the various investment projects it witnesses, and its human forces and competencies in various fields, can make a qualitative leap in the economic movement in the region. Hopes are placed on such meetings in strengthening the economic movement, deepening participation and achieving positive interaction to discuss and read needs, and then reformulate our steps towards the future in the service of our dear country.
He pointed out that the Chamber's branch in Qatif, since its inauguration, has been keen to diversify its activities in line with national options. It has completed hundreds of meetings, launched several induction programs on various economic fields, and held workshops and awareness lectures that dealt with all aspects of economic work, which supported government efforts to uncover as Qatif enjoys various economic components, and our branch in Qatif has become an example of constructive interaction with the main center, which calls us all to look forward to more communication and interaction, to achieve a leap in performance with all our elements, effort, and sincerity, moving us through one rule in line with With the vision of 2030.
As part of the meeting, a visual presentation was presented about the council’s achievements during the past period, most notably presenting a model building for the Eastern Chamber of the governorate, and containing several programs and events, intensifying work with the Social Development Bank, and working on marketing the governorate to investors inside and outside the governorate. And communication with the concerned authorities in the Ministries of Human Resources and Social Development and the Ministry of Commerce in the governorate, to open branches in the governorate, as well as holding the Investment Opportunities Forum every two years, which created real opportunities, such as the first hotel in the governorate.
The meeting witnessed an open dialogue on the issues raised, which concern the reality and future of investment in the province.
